Audience Feedback

In todays lesson we watched each others one minute of footage and gave each other feedback. This is the followng feedback we recieved from our primary audience:

Positives
  • Good editing on the beat
  • Loved the black and white- adds to the atmosphere of song
  • Good framing on bridge
  • Good tracking shot

Negatives
  • Shot of tumbling weir to the church was unclear in remarks to the narrative- doesn't flow with rest of shots
  • Introduce colour- maybe bring out some of the orange in the leaves
  • Some of the pan shots were too fast
  • Include more shots of protagonist
By getting our primary audience to watch our work often it ensures that we are constantly getting honest feedback on what they like and don't like. This means we are then able to improve our video to suit our audiences taste as otherwise we would end up just making the video for ourselves and would only appeal to a small audience. We also found that the males in our class who originally said our idea doesn't appeal to them ended up liking how it was on the beat and the fact that it was in black and white. We hope to take all their feedback on board to make our narrative as strong as possible.
